Anthony Jeselnik Indianapolis Concert reviews
"Our experience was terribly disappointing. We left feeling as though we wasted our time and money, not only having to pay for the tickets to the show but hotel rooms, commuting, and most of us having to turn around the next day and get back to our jobs. The word "disappointment" does not even touch on how we all felt with this experience. When Anthony Jeselnik did show up, the sound was so LOUD that it drowned out the vocals and was overall too painful to sit and enjoy. By song three, we could not bear it any more; we even had ear plugs in to help alleviate the noise. After Asia played, there was only one more announcement, which came too late, and by this point, the crowd was increasingly frustrated and confused as to if Anthony Jeselnik would even be showing up. We decided to wait it out when the first announcement regarding the plane having difficulties and the band being stuck in AZ was made. However, my family and I traveled from all over New Mexico to attend this event, having purchased the tickets months in advance and even rearranging our work schedules when the show was pushed into the next week. I am not sure if it was due to Anthony Jeselnik being unable to have a sound check or "run-through" to be sure that the sound was appropriate, or our placement within the arena. Nevertheless, it seems to me to be completely unacceptable. My family are all concert-goers and frequent music festivals, to which the noise has never been at such a loud shrill that we had to get up and leave."
